Growing your Acumen

  • Clinical training is designed for therapists and clinical leaders who want to deepen their skill, expand their clinical thinking, and grow into more confident, effective providers. Whether you are, early in your career, pursuing a new license, or a seasoned clinician, high-quality training creates the conditions for both professional and personal development.

My training approach emphasizes practical application, conceptual clarity, and clinician identity development. This is not purely academic learning—it is grounded in the real challenges therapists face in the room: managing complex cases, navigating therapeutic alliance, handling resistance, and making sound clinical decisions under uncertainty.

Trainings can include workshops, individual supervision, ongoing consultation groups, or intensive learning experiences tailored to your organization or team. Common areas of focus include trauma-informed care, group facilitation, ethical decision-making, and strengthening clinical intuition alongside evidence-based practice.

A key component of this work is helping clinicians move beyond rigid models into flexible, adaptive thinking. Strong therapists are not defined by the techniques they use, but by their ability to understand people, respond in real time, and remain grounded in the midst of complexity.

Participants can expect a learning environment that is engaging, challenging, and supportive—one that respects the difficulty of clinical work while equipping therapists with tools and perspectives that elevate their effectiveness and confidence.

  • Great organizations don’t just rely on strong individuals—they create shared understanding, aligned purpose, and the capacity to navigate complexity together. My workshops are designed to help teams and organizations do exactly that. Whether you’re investing in your staff, strengthening leadership, or addressing a specific challenge, these experiences are practical, engaging, and tailored to the real dynamics your group is facing.

I bring a facilitative style that balances structure with responsiveness. That means your team won’t sit through generic content or abstract theory. Instead, workshops are interactive and grounded in your context—drawing out the wisdom already in the room while introducing frameworks and tools that elevate how your group thinks, communicates, and works together.

A core focus of my work is helping teams deepen both self-awareness and collective effectiveness. For some organizations, that takes the form of staff retreat workshops that integrate meaningful self-care with intentional team development—creating space for reflection, connection, and renewed clarity about how to move forward together. For others, the need is more targeted: equipping staff with the skills to respond to mental health emergencies, strengthening trauma-informed customer service, or improving communication in high-stakes or high-conflict situations.

I also work with teams around clarity and alignment. This includes facilitating collective purpose discovery and articulation, helping groups define not just what they do, but why it matters and how that purpose shows up in day-to-day decisions. I relish helping teams align in effective strategy-building processes that are both structured and collaborative—ensuring that plans are not only well-designed, but genuinely owned by the people responsible for carrying them out.

For leadership teams and boards, workshops often focus on identifying high leverage points for change, governance, stakeholder alignment, and decision-making. We’ll clarify roles, strengthen communication, and address the often-unspoken dynamics that can either accelerate or stall progress. The goal is to create alignment that is not forced, but earned through shared understanding and thoughtful dialogue.

Given my clinical background, I also offer specialized training for behavioral health professionals and teams, including clinical group supervision and workshops on a range of therapeutic and relational topics. Additionally, I frequently integrate psychological insight with broader worldview considerations—helping individuals and organizations connect their values, beliefs, and practices in a way that feels both coherent and actionable.

Every workshop is customized. I draw from a diverse background in clinical work, executive leadership, and organizational development to meet your group where it is. Together, we’ll identify your goals, understand the challenges you’re navigating, and design an experience that is not only relevant, but genuinely impactful.

The end result is a workshop that doesn’t just inform—it shifts how people think, relate, and lead together long after the session ends.

  • Every workshop or training experience is tailored, and I’m always excited to build something new. If you have a team that you know needs some intentional workshopping, and you aren’t sure yet what that needs to look like, I’d love the opportunity to consult with you and help identify the best leverage point to focus on. We’ll build your workshop around it.
